Day three was a little more eventful as I went back to work today (ooooh ahhhhhh). I also ventured out to the gym at 5:45 am this morning (note the photos taken while it was still pitch black outside

Kind of a low-key day today. Not much excitement going on here. I had the day off from work so I just lounged around all day. Here are some photos posted for Day Two of the project:

So, after checking out Laura’s photos from this project, I decided to join in the fun @ Ali Edwards blog with the Weekend Creative : Documenting a week in your life. I started mine today and although my life is somewhat boring, it’s still pretty fun to photograph your day to day activities.

#6: Cookie Making
This is a fun new thing I just experimented with. I got my inspiration from another blogger at Cookie Crazie and I thought it would be something creative to try. Here are some pictures of the first batch I made for a couple of my co-workers birthdays this week.
It’s actually very relaxing as long as you have the time to do it and are not working on them until 10 p.m. (it took me about 4 hours to finish them). I had a good time shopping for all of the supplies and cookie cutters and can’t wait to get some more stuff! I’ll be making some more this weekend for a picnic I’m going to, so we will see how they will come out
I’m starting to think I may have mis-named this blog. Lately I think it should have been ’A Hundred Things that annoy, irritate, and stress me out!’. lol. I’ve gotten totally off track lately with my blogging unfortunately due to life being so nutso. I need to get back on track because I’m starting to lose the positive mindset that I try hard to have. So, I shall post (finally) #6 on my list a little later on. I had added a Book List here a while back of some books I [plan to/would like to/if I can stop procrasting] read. I need to change it already. Right now, I need to make some updates and I’m off to see if I can find a new layout for this thing.

#5: My new car
After almost 2 years of driving an SUV, I finally decided it was time to stop giving all of my money to Shell and Exxon for gas. Even though I loved it, my SUV was costing me way too much all the way around. So, after sleeping on it a couple weeks ago, I woke up and decided to take a trip to the car dealer and lo and behold, bought myself a car It’s a Nissan Altima and it’s supposed to have really good fuel economy, so we shall see. It’s making me very happy so far

#4: Spring
Spring makes make very happy. One of the best parts about living in the northeast is that just when your getting tired of one season, another is just around the corner. I love the changes and Spring is my all-time favorite season, with Fall being a close second. Just walking out the door this morning to come to work, I already hear birds chirping and it’s a beautiful sunny and (somewhat) warm day.
Now, if only I could find a way to get out of these four corporate walls and go enjoy it

So I’m writing to you today from work. I have a pretty long (and unpaid) lunchbreak each day and I need something to fill my time besides not eating Let’s see…changed my desktop photo, checked my accounts in Online Banking, read all of the emails piled up in my inbox…check, check and check! Ok, on to number three on my list
#3: My Baby, Timber
He’s my furry, independent, sometimes snobby but sits with you and loves you when he feels like it kitty I adopted him from a local animal shelter when he was 8 weeks old and he’s six (and a half ) now. Yes, Mom…and a HALF! lol She’s always teasing me because I refer to his age the way you would for a child. Hey, I just like to be accurate
I still say that Timber is a dog in a cats body. He is so alert and hears every little noise outside and sometimes he’ll wait by the door right before someone normally comes home. He also comes running if he hears keys or when I come home, unless of course he is too pre-occupied with sleeping lol. He’s really a great cat and I couldn’t love him more!

#2: Music
I LOVE music, so therefore it makes me very happy This being said, you will notice that music will be a big part of this journal. I’m going to try to share a different song that I like with you in each post.
I have always liked all kinds of music, and recently I’ve noticed that I’m becoming a fan of country music. My all-time favorite artist has to be John Mayer. I am anxiously awaiting his next album as I think I’ve listened to his album ‘Continuum’ about a thousand times now lol. Hey! Welcome to day number one of my journal. I started this blog to help remind myself of all the positive, good things in this world that bring happiness to my life. It’s so easy to get caught up in the daily grind of living and let the little things steal your joy. With each post I am going to list something in my life that makes me happy. I’m also going to do my best to post a photo along with it and have a little music thrown in for good measure
A little bit about me, as you might be a little curious as to who this happy person is. I just had a birthday on the 7th when I turned (gasp) 27. I work in banking five days a week and when I’m not at work, I love to listen to music, take pictures, browse around the internet, go shopping, and spend time with my family. My job is pretty stressful so anything I can do to relax is always welcome.
Now, a little more about this journal. This is my first shot with blogging and my plan is to think of and post (at least) one hundred things that make me happy. I want to post at least one or two things a week and in between, post a little about my life as well as photos I take along the way. So, without further ado, Number One on my list:

Ok, so maybe this one is a little obvious, but definitely worthy of being number one I’ve got to say, I have been blessed with two of the best, most understanding parents around. Laughter brings happiness and let me tell you, either one or the other (or both) are always making me laugh
Well, it’s time to watch some American Idol. I don’t know why, but listening to people sing out of tune amuses me. Have a good night!!
